How to keep the water that you drink more safer

Do you have those extra prescription or over the counter pills laying around your house that have expired or you just don't need them anymore? I know that I do. The first thing I did was to flush them down the toilet. After thinking about what I was doing I immediately stopped that process.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • small trash bag garbage bag
Step1
When you flush those pills down the toilet, they are actually going back into the water system cycle that is in return pumped back into our nations water system.
Step2
There is a chance that some of substance that is in those pills can carry back over to our own drinking water. Our fish and wildlife are also consuming the water. The possibility of consumption is getting higher as time goes on.
Step3
My suggestion is as follows:
1.Dump your old meds into a small garbage bag, and tie the bag. 2.Crush the pills while inside the bag. 3.Place the bag into your normal garbage bag for garbage man to pick up.

Tips & Warnings

  • I personally want to help with the process of having cleaner water. If every reader will do this process then I believe over time we will have cleaner water.
