Here is a simple way to #1 save money #2 get your clothes fresh and clean naturally without harsh chemicals and #3 did I mention save $$??

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 bar grated Ivory soap
  • 1/2 Cup Borax
  • 1/2 Cup Washing soda (found in the laundry isle)

Step1
Grate 1 bar of Ivory soap (I use a cheese grater)
Step2
Add 1/2 Cup of Borax
Step3
Add 1/2 Cup Washing soda
Step4
Mix and store in air tight container.

Use 1-2 Tablespoons per load depending on size of load.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use a bit more of mixture for hard water
  • Use a bit of extra Ivory for "fresher" scent
  • double or triple batch and store in air tight container
  • Remember: Washing soda is NOT the same as baking soda (although the washing soda I use is by Arm and Hammer). It will say Washing Soda on the box.
  • Borax is more natural than other harsh chemicals and is said to only be as harmful to pets and humans as table salt but to be safe, always read labels and follow instructions closely.
  • keep washing soda out of reach of children
  • do not mix with bleach
