Things You'll Need:
- A good imagination
- Various things, see ideas
-
Step 1
FLOWERS - Most women LOVE flowers, and your Mama will love the ones you get for her. You can go expensive, and have them delivered at work on Friday. You can get a beautiful plant for her. If she has a green thumb give her some seeds, a planter, garden gloves and she will have a field day.
-
Step 2
MOVIES - Does you Mom love movies? Barnes & Nobles (BN.com), DeepDiscountDVD.com sell DVD's pretty cheaply. For nostolgia's sake, get her a DVD of the first movie she took you to see. Or the Oscar winner the year you were born.
-
Step 3
DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME - Load up those pictures on a picture frame for Mom. Get some of those old pictures out - mix them up with new ones. She'll love this unique gift - made especially for her.
-
Step 4
FACIAL/SPA DAY - Go with your Mom to the spa, sit around and do some girly things, take high tea. She will appreciate this gesture. IF that is too expensive - make your own spa day at home. Cook her favorite foods, make your own facial masks and treat her good!!!
-
Step 5
STAMPS - Make your Mom her own personalized stamps. Put the grandchildren on the stamp, or a beautiful picture you've taken, or a picture of you when you were younger. The options are limitless. This is a unique gift. I've attached the link below to Stamps.com. Also, as a reminder - if you use Upromise.com, you get $8 college savings per transaction.
-
Step 6
CHOCOLATE COVERED FRUIT - Read my article on how to make this treat. It's relatively easy - and inexpensive.

Step 7
MOM "THANK YOU" JAR - Cut slips of paper and write on each one,
"Thank you Mom, for taking me to football practice."
"Thank you Mom, for teaching me how to cook chocolate chip cookies."
"Thank you Mom, for encouraging me."
"Thank you Mom, for taking me to see Star Wars, even though you hated science fiction."
ETC - This is the least expensive suggestion, but most Mom's WILL LOVE THIS. (I promise!!!) -
Step 8
ASK MOM - "Mom, what would you like?" One friend has children and they get her gifts, but, don't have much thought put into them. She loves to be remembered, but, they are getting her things she doesn't want, or cannot use. So, ASK MOM, "What can we do to celebrate your special day."
