learn a basic braid

It's easy to learn a basic braid. Once you've practiced on other materials or other people, you should find it easy to braid your own hair as well.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • practice materials like: three strands of yarn, rope, string, twine or someone who likes having their hair played with.
  1. Step 1

If you are using material other than someone's hair, tape down your three pieces onto a table or the back of a chair so they will stay in place.
If you are practicing on someone, devide the hair into three equally thick parts.

  2. Step 2

going from left to right we will call the sections: A, B, and C.
Take section A, placing it over section B. So that A is now in the middle.

  3. Step 3

now take section C, placing it over section A. Now section C is in the middle. The order now is B, C, A

  4. Step 4

Take section B, placing it over section C so that B is once again in the middle.

  5. Step 5

Continue these steps, first drawing from the left, then the right. When you reach the end of the braid secure it with a hair binder and you're done!
