Baby formula stains are almost always found on clothing articles at thrift stores and resale shops. I have always tried to keep my girls' clothing clean so I can recycle it later to either another family member or friend. The key to keeping things clean is to attack the stain right after it happens. But as you and I know, with a baby things can not always be accomplished when you would like them to. That is where these spot and stain removers come in handy. Even after the stain has set in they can be removed with persistence and the right ingredients.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • lemon juice
  • unseasoned meat tenderizer
  • Brilliant Bleach
  • Spray N Wash

Step1
For white clothes, stains are super noticeable. These require patience and sometimes repetition. First take lemon juice and apply liberally to the stain. Lay it out in the sun for a couple of hours. After it has sat out for awhile, you can pre treat with Spray and Wash and was as usual. Remember, it could take a couple times.
Step2
Another thing you can use for baby formula stains is unseasoned meat tenderizer. This can be found at any grocery store. Make sure it is UNSEASONED. It will be white. Take cool water and a bit of the tenderizer ( a teaspoon or so) and make it into a paste. Once it is the right sticky consistency rub it into the stain with your fingers and let it sit for an hour. Then wash as you normally would. The secret to the tenderizer is that it has an enzyme in it that breaks sown proteins.
Step3
Last but not least, an always safe bet is Brilliant Bleach. It is color safe, not too costly, and reliable. What more could you ask for in a detergent?! With really deep set stains, you may have to soak the items for a couple of days. Have patience ........ clean baby clothes will once again be a part of the present!

Tips & Warnings

  • Brilliant bleach is non chlorine, making it safe for baby stuff.
