Things You'll Need:
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 pork tenderloin (1 lb each)
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 cups applesauce, unsweetened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1/2 tsp ginger, ground
-
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
-
Step 2
Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a small, shallow bowl.
-
Step 3
Cut the tenderloins into 6 pieces and flatten each cut piece to about 1" in thickness with a meat mallet.
-
Step 4
In a skillet, melt the butter and dip each pork piece into the flour mixture and then brown in the skillet, turning the meat to brown it on both sides.
-
Step 5
Place the pork in an ungreased baking dish and set aside.
-
Step 6
In the same skillet that you browned the pork in, saute the onion and garlic until tender and translucent.
-
Step 7
Add the remaining ingredients to the skillet and bring to a boil.
-
Step 8
Pour the mixture in the skillet over the pork in the baking dish and cover. Bake for 1 hour or until the juices run clear and a meat thermometer reads 160 F. Serve.
