How to install cc (custom content) on Sims2

Say you want to add more excitement on your Sims 2 game? Then you'll love this easy how to on installing custom sims, homes, items, hair, eyes, and lots more onto your game!

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

• sims2
• computer
• some knowledge on downloading

1. log onto the http://www.modthesims2.com website and click on downloads.
2. For this how to I will show you how to install a custom sim into your game, so from the top menu choices click on the sim option.
3. Once the page had loaded scroll down to a sim that you would like to have added into your game, for my demonstration purposes, i chose a Jennifer Connelly sim
4. When you have finished choosing the sim you want and the page has loaded, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the little floppy disc to download the item.
5. As soon as you click on it a window will pop up like in the picture, click save and choose the destination you wish to save it on, I saved it onto my desktop.
6. When it has finished downloading it will show up on your desktop as shown in the picture, right click on the download.
7. Once you right click the item choose the extract here option from the menu.
8. When your computer is finished extracting the files, you will get another file on your desktop that looks like mine does in the picture.
9. Double click on the new file and wait a few seconds and you will get a window from the sims game that looks like this, click the install button.
10. Congrats!! you have just installed custom content into your game when you open the game and go to create a new family click on a female and in the custom skin tone options there will be your downloaded sim. once you click on that go to edit the hair and all that and you'll see your downloaded sim!
