Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Join Digg
    Join Digg

Go to www.digg.com and sign up for a free account.

    * Pic to the left shows you where to click to join.

  2. Step 2

Confirm your information and Log in

  3. Step 3
Photo showing both a 'dugg' and a 'digg it' sample
Photo showing both a 'dugg' and a 'digg it' sample

Practice Digging other websites you find interesting that are already 'dugg' and featured on Digg homepage. You can search by topic, etc to find stuff you like. Play with it. Lots of good stuff here.

    * To digg, you simply click the 'digg it' link under the yellow box that will have a number on it. (the number represents how many other people clicked the digg button). After it accepts your digg, the number will go up and the 'digg it' will now be grayed out and say 'dugg!'

  4. Step 4

Where to click to submit a new website into Digg

    Submit your website

** Look for 'How To Submit Your Website To Digg' in the resource section under this article.

  5. Step 5

Showing 1 person who is already a friend and another who hasn't been added yet

Add friends. Surf sites on Digg that you like and add people as your friend who have similar interests as yourself.

** Look for 'How To Add Friends With Digg' in the resource section under this article.

  6. Step 6

Once you have several friends, send a 'Shout' to them asking that they also digg your webpage. The more diggs you get, the more traffic you will see come through.

** Look for 'How To Send Shouts With Social Bookmarking Site 'Digg' in the resource section under this article.

  7. Step 7
This is where you will see the notice that you have incoming shouts from your friends
This is where you will see the notice that you have incoming shouts from your friends

Be sure to return the favor of shouts by loggin in to Digg and checking them often. If you don't reciprocate, they won't want to waste time digging your sites, either. This doesn't take long and is fun. Don't feel obligated to digg sites you do no like. Digg is for sharing of sites that you DO like.

  8. Step 8

You should see a surge in traffic. It won't take long to start seeing the effect but in the long term, it just gets better. :)

Now go repeat the similar process with other social bookmarking sites such as Stumble Upon, Propeller, Twitter, etc.. in asking for votes or ratings, etc from friends you make there. Enjoy!

  9. Step 9

If you found this information helpful, I'd love you forever if you rate me with the stars at the top and leave a comment.
