Step1

Watch who your child hangs with this might give you some clues to what they could be doing. If all of the sudden make differnt friends they might be changing them for a reason.

Step2

Check their eyes. If they are blood shot or glossy these are tall tale signs they could be under the inflence. Make sure you pay close attention to thier speech too.

Step3

Ask them if they are using some kids might be honest and you can get the line of commucation open. This is very imporant.

Step4

If they admit it dont get mad explain to them you do not tolerate that kind of behavoir in your home. Call a pro about drug use and get your child help if this becomes a problem.

on 4/24/2008 Great article, My son got mad at me when i ask him,and he said everyone has been asking him that.He is 18 and very laid back and easy going, He plays Halo online all the time when he is not working.So it is hard to tell with him.Thank you for the Advice.
