#1 - Join Something. Like agri clubs, farmers markets or check these online: localharvest.org; eatwellguide.org or get this farmers market list: ams.usda.gov/farmersmarkets. #2 - Grow it yourself. Make space in your yard and plant a vegetable garden. Live in an apartment? Use the outside deck or window ledge.
Step2
#3 - Chop it up and have it ready. Cut up veggies like onions, broccoli, peppers & asparagus in advance - store in baggies in the fridge. #4 - Be prepared. Get bags of prewashed lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower florets or mixed vegetables, and store in bags. Carrots, celery and small tomatoes work, too. #5 - Put them in front. Don't hide all the stored bags out of sight in the crisper drawer. Put ones you plan to use where you can see them.
Step3
#6 - Buy garlic and fresh herbs/spices. Nothing makes your vegetables taste better than a sprinkle of your favorite herbs and a bit of minced or chopped garlic. Basil, dill, parsley, salt and pepper also add to the flavor.
