Bamboo is an amazing plant. Bamboo is of high cultural value in throughout the world, especially in East Asia. It is used as a building material, food source, garden accessory, and has countless other uses. It grows in a wide variety of climates, ranging from the cold mountians of the Himalayas to sub-Sarahan Africa. Dried timber bamboo is ideal for building purposes. It is both lightweight and exceptionally strong when dried.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Money
  • Truck (Optional)

Step1
Do some research online. You will want to find a vendor or nursery in your area.
Step2
Drive to the nursery and look at the plants available. Make sure that you buy a plant that will grow well in your property.
Step3
You can also purchase bamboo online. I found Jungle Supply Company very helpful. Their web site is www.junglesupplyco.com.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure to research the growing specifications of the plant. If your area gets too cold in the winter the bamboo will die.
