If you like Southwest Styled foods, you’ll enjoy this spicy twist on deviled eggs. You can spice up you own recipe by adding a few ingredients or just follow this recipe.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 6 firm-boiled eggs (I can’t handle soft yellows)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickles
  • 2 tablespoon diced green chili peppers
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red peppers
  • 1/3 cup of celery (diced)
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • paprika
  • 4-5 strips of bacon microwave cooked (or my preference, turkey bacon)
Step1
Peal 6 firm-boiled eggs.
Step2
Slice the 6 eggs lengthwise and remove the yolks.
Step3
Place the yolks in a bowl and mash with a fork.
Step4
Add all of the ingredients below into the bowl with the mashed egg yolks:
 1/4 cup mayonnaise
 1 tablespoon mustard
 1 tablespoon pickles
 2 tablespoon diced green chili peppers
 1/8 teaspoon ground red peppers
 1/3 cup of celery (diced)
 2 teaspoons of sugar
 1 teaspoon of salt
Mix all of the ingredients well and it should look like a thick paste.
Step5
Stuff egg whites with the yolk mixture.
Step6
Sprinkle paprika over each stuffed egg.
Step7
Crumble bacon by hand and spread over stuffed eggs.
Step8
Place all the stuffed eggs on a tray decorated with parsley or shredded lettuce and serve.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may have to add more mayo or pickles if mix is too dry.
  • You may need a little more salt if mix is too bland (taste prior to stuffing)
  • Leave out some of the peppers if you don't want too spicy.
  • Leave peppers out completely if you don't like peppers or want simple Southern Styled.
