The gyroball is a relatively new pitch developed by a computer scientist and baseball instructor. It has the appearance of a slider, but in reality has no movement at all.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baseball
  • Catcher
  1. Step 1

    Grip the ball as you would grip a fastball.

  2. Step 2

    Go into your windup.

  3. Step 3

    When it comes time to release the ball, turn your wrist outward so that the ball has a spiral spin on it, like a football.

  4. Step 4

    Follow through.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have trouble, try mimicking a football throw.
  • If you don't mix in the slider with your gyroball, your gyro will get hit hard.
