Making tops for your fence posts

Things You’ll Need:

• Nails, Saw.

1. To stop fence posts from rotting (especially in England where I live) you can buy expensive wooden ball shapes for the top of your fence posts.
   However a cheap alternative if you can source the old wood is table legs.
2. Find some old table legs which have been machined into ball like shapes.
   Cut these off and sand them down. Drill and secure on top of your fence post with a sawn off screw (this is so it will screw in to the bottom of the ball and to the top of the post.)
3. Always stain to correct colour and remove any varnish before staining.
