Over the years we have all heard of some horrible hair color experiences that friends, family & sometimes we have had. There are 4 different hair color correction challenges listed in this article, to help give a better understanding of hair color.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Too Dark- The solution is to break it up with highlights.

  2. Step 2

Too Light- Break it up with low lights

  3. Step 3

Too Ash- Color remover. You can use stronger shampoos that will remove hair color. This one may be better to seek professional help on.

  4. Step 4

Too warm- Go darker or tone it by adding, yes- ash

Tips & Warnings
  • There are other options than the ones listed. My advice- leave those options to the professionals.
  • When doing color correction with highlights or lowlights, use small sections for placement and leave hair in between ------- so that the color is diffused together to create a final new color result.
