Step 1
Ask your guidance counselor what you need to do to request a transfer to a new school. This is a multi-step process and varies from school to school.
-
Step 2
Convince your parents that a transfer would be beneficial to you. If you explain why you want to transfer, what you need to do to transfer and address the issue of transportation in your initial discussion, it'll be easier to have your parents' support.
-
Step 3
Choose a school to transfer to. It is easier to transfer to a school in your current school district. You will want a school that is not too far away.
-
Step 4
Fill out the paperwork needed to request your transfer. The review process can take some time, turning in your paperwork promptly will speed up the process.
-
Step 5
Appeal the decision. If the school denies your request, appeal the decision. Look for solid reasons you are requesting a transfer. This could include poor school performance, health reasons and guidance reasons.

on 6/26/2009 hi,
My school ends already and i want to transfer to a school that near me because the school im going right now is very far, i need to take the train for 1 hour in order to get to school everyday from monday to friday.
Is there anyway to get a form to transfer school without going back to my old school?
Can i just go to new school and ask?
Or can my parents go back to my old school and ask for the form?

on 6/23/2009 I'm transferring to a new school next week and I want to know what other reasons (poor school performance, health reasons, guidance reasons, etc.) may I include in my justification letter to make it impossible for them to deny my transfer.
