Trade shows allow you to see the newest exhibits for particular types of products. In the past, a buyer would have to travel many miles to a trade show in a major metropolitan area. Today, however, with the help of the Internet, it is easy to visit a virtual trade show.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Keep track of virtual trade shows in your industry publications. When you find one that discusses the product you are interested in, make a note of the site listed.
Step2
Search online for virtual trade shows. You may be able to find a show not listed in your industry publication or vice-versa.
Step3
Find the virtual show you are interested in and look for a link to current exhibitors. This is similar to a table of contents. Click on this link and choose the vendors you want to visit.
Step4
View products offered by each vendor, make note of interesting products and read the information available on your choices. You should be able to easily order from the site or contact the company to place an order in person.
Step5
Peruse the offerings in a category of similar products. You may find comparable virtual stores highlighted in one category, allowing you to visit stores in different areas of the world, all at the same time.
Step6
Gather information on each trade show vendor and the products they sell. Print this information for your use later. Refer back to it when you are ready to make a purchase.

Tips & Warnings

  • Virtual trade shows allow smaller companies to have an Internet presence.
