Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pliers
  • Kitchen faucet cartridge
  1. Step 1

Turn off all water to the faucet. Look under the sink nearest the back wall for two water cut-off controls. One is for the hot water supply, and the other is for the cold water. Ensure that both are completely hand-tightened in the off position.

  2. Step 2

Remove the existing kitchen faucet hardware using pliers and a pair of channel lock pliers. Place a piece of cloth around the fixture when using the pliers to prevent damage to the unit and to avoid scratching the finish. Pry out the cartridge gently.

  3. Step 3

Take all of the kitchen faucet cartridge parts to a hardware or home improvement store. Find the exact replacement parts for the kitchen faucet. Consult with a store staff member for assistance.

  4. Step 4

Assemble all of the existing hardware back into position. Use the included plastic spanner cap over the new cartridge to gently twist it into position according to the new kitchen faucet cartridge assembly instructions.

  5. Step 5

Return water to the kitchen sink taps by turning the water flow controls knobs under the sink back to their open position.

Tips & Warnings
  • Place a bucket under the sink to catch any leaking water or remaining moisture when working on the faucet.
  • Use a digital camera to take pictures of every step and refer to the images in reverse order when reassembling the unit.
