There's a balancing act between getting your kids to eat healthy and still allowing the occasional treat in the house. Sneak a few frozen snacks for yourself into the freezer without your kids knowing it. Hiding them in plain sight assures your frozen treats are there for you.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Health food boxes
  • Spinach boxes
  • Frozen snacks
  • Garbage bag
  1. Step 1

Buy your frozen snacks on a special trip to the market. Bring the frozen snacks home when the kids aren't there.

  2. Step 2

Save a few boxes from your frozen diet dinners, spinach boxes or other containers that you normally put in the freezer.

  3. Step 3

Wash the boxes out when you are done using them, and store them in a cupboard until you need them.

  4. Step 4

Take the frozen snacks out of the box immediately, and put them in your secret stash of frozen food boxes.

  5. Step 5

Throw the boxes from the frozen snacks away in an opaque plastic bag. Take the bag to the outside garbage.

  6. Step 6

Put the decoy frozen food boxes in the bottom or back of the freezer. Place the kids' frozen pizza and fries in front of your decoy spinach and diet food boxes.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can always share with your kids by leaving a few frozen snacks out in an open area of the freezer. Just hide the ones you want to save for yourself.
  • Avoid using containers your kids would normally go for like chicken nuggets, french fries or pizza boxes.
