Lavender bath sachets provide scent for your bath and healthy oils for your skin. They're an easy craft that even young children can make. You can add these sachets to your bathwater or your bureau drawer for a soft, delicate scent.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Dried lavender
  • Oatmeal
  • Linen squares
  • Rubber bands
  • Ribbons
Step1
Cut a large piece of linen into squares or use linen handkerchiefs.
Step2
Place a generous amount of uncooked oatmeal in the center of the linen.
Step3
Add dried lavender. If you can't find lavender, you can use lavender-scented oil. Be careful not to overfill the linen.
Step4
Pull the corners up and secure them with a rubber band to create the bath sachet.
Step5
Cut a length of ribbon long enough to wrap several times around two sachets. Leave enough length to loop over a bath faucet so it can hang in the water.
Step6
Wrap the ends of the ribbon around the rubber bands to disguise them. Tie the ends into pretty bows or tuck them under the rubber band.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can find linen handkerchiefs at flea markets or local retail stores.
  • You can substitute powdered milk for the oatmeal if you prefer.
