Fast food is supposed to be fast. But, the fast food restaurant lines are often too long, with the other customers being hungry and cranky and the employees rushing to get everyone through the best they can. Your genius idea of getting fast food just became a complete disaster. But, it doesn't have to be that way. Here's how to get through a fast food restaurant quickly.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Go before the lunchtime rush. Take your lunch at 11 a.m. Or after 1 p.m.
Step2
Go to an out of the way fast food restaurant. If you want the McD's fries, choose a MacDonald's in a quieter neighborhood away from busy thoroughfares or highways. Choose a restaurant further away, in a health conscious community, or in an area with less traffic.
Step3
Go inside. The drive through often takes too long. There is one person taking orders in a drive through. Go inside and choose between 3 to 6 workers who are ready to take your order.
Step4
Choose simple foods. Fast food should be fast. If you want a gourmet burger, go to a gourmet restaurant. Choose a simple hamburger, cheeseburger, chicken sandwich or salad. Take off the pickles yourself. There are several hamburgers waiting for the next customer. When you order something special, it takes longer.
Step5
Call ahead. Many fast food restaurants now take orders online, over the phone, or through a fax order. Consider using these services. Go to the correct pickup window when you get to the restaurant so you don't have to wait in long lines. Then, eat in peace.
