Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Hair dryer
- Rag
- Pencil eraser
- Rubbing alcohol
- Fingernail polish remover
- WD-40 or degreaser
Step1
Turn your laptop on and let it run for awhile to warm the surface up. An alternative to warm up the area is using a hair dryer. Be careful not to get it too hot.
Step2
Peel as much of the sticker off as you can to start. Rub the residue with a clean cloth. Use circular motions to pick up the rest of the residue.
Step3
Erase it, literally. Once you've got the stickers off, rub a pencil eraser on the residue until you get a bunch of little crumbs to wipe off.
Step4
Rub a small amount of rubbing alcohol or finger nail polish remover on the area.
Step5
Put a small amount of WD-40 on a rag, and wipe it on the sticker residue.
Step6
Use a cleaning product that is a degreaser, or is especially formulated to remove stickers or adhesive.
