How to Get a Guy to Like One in Grade School

Grade-school romance can be tricky business. Most of the girls are just starting to get interested in guys, and many boys aren't ready to think about girls. If you want to get a guy to like you in grade school, you can do a few things to tip the odds in your favor. With a little luck, you may find yourself with a date to the dance.

1. Play it cool. A guy doesn't want to be embarrassed in front of his friends, so don't ask him out when his pals are around. Instead, catch him when he's alone, and broach the subject casually. Ask him if he wants to hang out sometime after school, or maybe go with a few others to see a movie.

2. Show interest in the stuff he likes. At this age, boys are more concerned with sports and hobbies than dating, so to get a guy to like you in grade school, try taking an interest in something he likes.

3. Take things slowly. Guys are usually shy when first dating, so don't be in a rush to try to hold his hand or kiss. Just hang out and be friends. You have plenty of time for the other stuff when you get older.

4. Be yourself. You should never have to change to make a guy like you. So, be yourself and if he likes you, he'll eventually come around.
