Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Apple
  • Felt or paper
  • 5 Marshmallows
  • 5-6 Toothpicks
  • 5 Gumdrops
  • 6-7 Cloves
  1. Step 1

Select a medium sized apple. Clean the apple, removing the stem and all leaves.

  2. Step 2

Make a collar by cutting a circle from a piece of the felt or paper, and then, using a toothpick, poke a hole directly into the center of the apple.

  3. Step 3

Place a marshmallow on the toothpick until it is immediately next to the apple.

  4. Step 4

Add a gumdrop onto the end of the toothpick once the marshmallow is secured.

  5. Step 5

Select 4 toothpicks to be used as Santa's arms and legs.

  6. Step 6

Slide marshmallows and then gumdrops on each of the toothpicks and then insert the toothpicks on each side of the apple for the arms and legs.

  7. Step 7

Place cloves on the marshmallow head to create a face. Cloves placed down the front of the apple will represent buttons on Santa's Shirt

Tips & Warnings
  • Cake decorating candies or cake icing can be used for creating a mouth.
  • Adding an additional toothpick in the back of the apple will serve as additional support to aid in keeping the apple stable.
  • A small amount of cake icing can be left to harden on the marshmallow face, creating a small beard.
