How to Disable Windows Login Screensaver
Perhaps you often find the login screen saver running on your computer. When you do not login into your computer within 15 minutes of turning it on, the default setting is set to start the Windows login screen saver. This option can be bothersome but there is a solution.

Click on "Start" and select "Run." Type "regedit" into the textbox and hit "OK." This command will open the "Registry Editor" window.

Select "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel." Click on "Desktop" to open the folder on the left side of the screen.

Find the file name "ScreenSaveActive" and double click on it. This will open up a box called "Edit String."

Change the "1" in the Value data box to "0". Hit the "OK" button.

Close the "Registry Editor" by selecting "Exit" from the "File" menu. Restart your computer for the change to go into effect, and your Windows login screen saver should be disabled.

You may wish to back up the registry before performing these steps. For instructions on how to do this, access the Microsoft website.
If you wish to enable the Windows login screen saver feature, return to the "ScreenSaveActive" file and change the Value data box to "1." Restart your computer.
Only individuals familiar with the registry editor should perform these changes, as problems may occur if not performed correctly.
