Today, hand-dipped milkshakes, like this Triple Chocolate Shake, remain a favorite. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Place generous scoops of a good quality chocolate ice cream in a blender. Add cold, whole milk.

    • 2

Cover the lid of the blender with a kitchen towel and hold the lid firmly in place. Blend the milk and ice cream on high until smooth, 20 to 30 seconds.

    • 3

Remove the lid from the blender and check the consistency of the milkshake. Add a bit more milk for a thinner shake. Replace the lid and blend for a few more seconds.

    • 4

Crumble two brownies into small bits. Add to the shake. Replace the lid and pulse the blender a few times to incorporate the brownie.

    • 5

Pour the mixture into a tall 16 oz. glass. Pour in chocolate syrup over the top of the milkshake. Use a drinking straw to swirl the syrup gently through the shake.

    • 6

Top the shake with whipped cream. Add another swirl of chocolate syrup and some chocolate shavings. Finish off with a maraschino cherry.

    • 7

Add another scoop of chocolate ice cream, known as a "sidecar," to the rim of the glass. Serve immediately.
