How to Resize an Image in Microsoft Paint

Use Microsoft Paint to draw images or to import images from other programs. Change the size of these images to suit your needs by resizing the images in Paint using the menu bar. Follow these tips to resize an image in Microsoft Paint.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Open Microsoft Paint. Use the tools on the Paint toolbar to draw an image. You can draw with the pencil and create an image on the white screen. You can also import an image by clicking "File" on the menu bar, choosing "Open" and finding the image you want.
Step2
Click "Image" on the menu bar at the top of the screen. Choose "Resize/Skew" from the menu. The "Resize and Skew" window opens up.
Step3
Change the percentage in the "Horizontal" box to change the size of the horizontal dimension of your drawing. Type a smaller number than one hundred to reduce the horizontal size. Type a larger number than one hundred to increase the horizontal image size.
Step4
Type a number into the "Vertical" percentage box to change the size of the vertical dimension of your drawing. Type a smaller number than one hundred to reduce the vertical size. Type a larger number than one hundred to increase the vertical size of the image.
Step5
Change the horizontal skew of your image by adding a number greater than zero in the "Horizontal Skew" box. Add a number greater than zero in the "Vertical Skew" box to change the vertical skew.
