How to Make a Duct Tape Fedora
Make a fashion statement with your own duct tape chapeau. Fedoras have been in and out of fashion for years, but the duct tape version is a totally new approach to style. You can use whatever color duct tape you want so you can have a fedora for every occasion.

1
Find a fedora that fits your head. If the hat doesn't fit, you may have to make size adjustments later.
-
2
Cover the whole fedora as smoothly as possible with aluminum foil. Trim the foil to fit. As long you cover the fedora to get the proper shape, the finished hat is going to be fine.

3
Cover the aluminum foil on the hat with duct tape. Start with strips of tape over the crown of the hat. Then wrap duct tape around the crown. Finish with duct tape around both sides of the brim. Don't leave any foil exposed.
-
4
Gently pull the fedora away from the foil covering. Maintain the shape of the duct tape and foil creation.
-
5
Try the hat on. If you must change the size, cut a slit in the back of the hat. Start at the brim and cut up until the hat fits. Retape that section of the hat.

6
Line the fedora with duct tape if you wish. It's less scratchy than the foil.
-
7
Add a ribbon around the duct tape fedora to give it a touch of class. Or add stickers or other embellishments.
