If you like creating graphic animations, put your hand to creating music videos. The easiest way is to make a photo lip sync along with the music. Getting your animated photo to function in perfect time to the music can test your skills.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • GIF Animation Software
  • Digital camera
  • Clip art image of lips
  1. Step 1

Photograph your face. This needs to be a full front shot with your mouth in a relaxed but slightly open position.

  2. Step 2

Digitize this photograph and place it into your GIF animation software.

  3. Step 3

Create another layer on your GIF image and place the clip art image of lips on it. By placing this on a second layer, you can easily manipulate the lips, without affecting your photograph.

  4. Step 4

Save this frame, and then open another frame in the animation.

  5. Step 5

Move the lips position to the next position, whether that be open or closed. You can change the appearance of the lips by selecting a portion of the lip and moving them, or by using the image effects to morph the shape of the lips. Save this frame and open a third frame in the animation.

  6. Step 6

Create a third appearance and position for your lips using the tools available in your GIF Animation software. This should be the farthest estreme of your lips position from the first image. Save this frame.

  7. Step 7

Now, duplicate the frames so that they appear in the order necessary to mimic the audio track you want to play.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can create as many lip positions as you want to best match your music, but three positions is the minimum that can be used to create even a semblance of normal movement.
