Sabu is one of the most hardcore wrestlers in professional wrestling. A second-generation superstar, he managed to be successful in the WWE and ECW and still wrestles successfully on the independent circuit. If you want to get "extreme" like the ECW original, then you'll have to add a little hardcore to your style.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Have wrestling in your blood. Sabu was trained by his uncle, the Original Sheik(not the Iron Sheik). Not only did he have a background in wrestling, it gave him the contacts and support he needed to establish himself in the wrestling business.
Step2
Be hardcore. Heinous looking scars cover Sabu's entire body from previous matches involving glass, barbed wire, thumbtacks and one can only imagine what else.
Step3
Be a high flyer. Sabu is not just a thug that beats his opponents with weapons. He has one of the most unique styles in wrestling. He has an arsenal of high-flying moves to jump on opponents inside and outside of the ring. What makes Sabu unique is that he uses chairs to spring off of and also to land on his opponent with.
Step4
Learn to use barbwire. His most famous match was with Terry Funk in 1995, in which they replaced the ring ropes with barbed wire. Sabu tore his bicep open and still finished the match.
Step5
Get a manager. Part of Sabu's appeal is that he hardly ever speaks and never speaks in English. He was most successful when he was part of a tag team with Rob Van Dam, and they were managed by Bill Alphonso. With the charismatic Van Dam to hog the spotlight and do the talking, Sabu retained an aura of mysteriousness that makes him intimidating to his opponents.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pro wrestling is almost certainly scripted so that participants rarely get hurt in the ring or deliver any real blows. Never attempt to repeat Sabu's style in or out of the ring.
