How to Extract Audio From MP4 Files With AoA Audio Extractor

AoA Audio Extractor is a free software program that allows you to pull audio tracks from video files saved on your computer. This program is compatible for files saved in many common formats including MP4. Once you extract the audio, you can download the tracks to your MP3 player.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Check the RAM on your computer. In order to download AoA Audio Extractor, you must have at least 64MB of RAM. For optimum performance, the manufacturers recommend 128MB of RAM.
Step2
Download AoA Audio Extractor to your computer (see Resources below).
Step3
Add the video to your computer. If you haven't already downloaded your video onto your computer, do so now.
Step4
Connect your MP3 player. Using the USB cable, connect your MP3 player to your computer so AoA Audio Extractor can download the audio to it.
Step5
Open AoA Audio Extractor. A window will appear. On the far right, there is a tab that reads "Add Files." Click it.
Step6
Select an output option. There are three options here, MP3, WAV and AC3. Click the MP3 option.
Step7
Click the "Start" button to extract MP4 files with AoA Audio Extractor. Once you click start, the audio begins extracting from the original video and downloads to your MP3.

Tips & Warnings

  • Close all other programs running on your computer to shorten download time.
  • Be aware of operating system compatibility. AoA Audio Extractor only works for Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP and 2003.
