This is a simple combination of an ollie (or board float) with a fake heelflip. Your mount is flatter, your pop is higher and your risk of shooting the board into the awe-struck crowd is much greater, so you should practice often.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Move your fingers into the board float or ollie position. Position your index finger in front of the Tech Deck logo almost on the bolts and your middle finger on the board's tail. For step-by-step instructions on how to do a board float, see the related eHow article.
Step2
Slide your index finger to the far edge of the board and curl it slightly over the edge. Your middle finger should be further back on the tail to give you have a higher pop.
Step3
Keep your board on the ground instead of lifting it slightly in the air, as in a regular board float. The entire board needs to remain on the ground until it's time to flip.
Step4
Roll the board, then pop it. The pop should be done more quickly than a regular board float. Use the curve of your index finger to help the board spin.
Step5
Kick your full hand out and down to keep the board from completely flying away from you. You're almost cupping your hand around the board. Pushing your hand down helps you to maintain more control over the board.
Step6
Catch the board on its way down and shoot for a smooth landing. Do this several times in a row or in sequence with other moves to impress your friends.

Tips & Warnings

  • Before performing this trick, it helps to have the board flip, fakie ollie, fakie flip and heelflip down pat.
  • Some people find this trick to be highly uncontrollable. Don't be surprised if the board flies away from you the first few times; just keep practicing, especially the movement of your hand as you do the fake heelflip, to help control your trick.
