How to Make a Menorah
A menorah is typically a candelabrum that holds nine candles. The center candle or Shamash is typically taller and slightly larger than the other eight candles. The Shamash, also known as the servant candle, lights the other candles each day of Hanukkah. You can personalize your celebration by making your own menorah. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Cut the Fimo clay into nine cubes with a craft knife. Eight cubes should be identical in size. The ninth cube should be longer and can be thicker around. Fimo clay comes in various colors so you can make your Menorah as colorful as you like.

2
Wrap a small piece of aluminum foil around the base of one of the candles. Push the foil-wrapped candle into the end of each piece of Fimo. Make sure the candle goes straight in and out. Make the hole deep enough to securely hold the candle.

3
Put waxed paper on your work surface. Line up four cubes with the candle holes all in a row. Gently push the Fimo clay pieces together until no seams show. Repeat this process for the other four cubes. You now have two blocks with four candle holes.

4
Shape the ninth block of Fimo clay as the Shamash. Place the larger block between the two other blocks. Work the outside of the clay until there are no visible seams.
-
5
Make sure the bottom of the Menorah is even all the way across and solid. Work with the clay until it is.
-
6
Move the Menorah to a baking sheet. Bake the Fimo according to package directions. Let it cool. Place the candles in the Menorah.
