How to Become a Sniper in Halo on PC

Becoming a sniper in Halo PC or in any other Halo game takes more than just picking up a sniper rifle and shooting at people. It takes reflex, skill and luck. You need to find the right place, the right amount of ammo and a good secondary weapon plus a healthy supply of grenades.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get the sniper rifle. Stay in the same spot or go to another sniper re-spawn point if you think you'll need more ammo.

  2. Step 2

Acquire a good, familiar secondary weapon that you are used to. You want something that is good for close to medium range such as a pistol, shotgun, assault rifle or a plasma rifle.

  3. Step 3

Grab a few grenades. In many cases they're more valuable than a normal weapon. They're good for taking out vehicles (especially warthogs and banshees) and also for stopping intruders in their tracks or killing them by sticking them with plasma grenades. Throwing a fragmentation grenade into an approaching vehicle's path also works very well.

  4. Step 4

Locate your perfect sniping spot. The spot needs to protect you while giving you enough room to shoot, provide a decent escape route and has to be narrow so you can hit the intruders with grenades easily.

  5. Step 5

Lure banshees in Halo multi-player into your sniping base by shooting at them with a plasma pistol or a regular pistol so it's powerful enough to pose a threat, but not harmful enough to kill them. Stick them with your plasma grenades when they come close.

  6. Step 6

Throw a grenade ahead of you if a fast moving vehicle, such as a warthog, comes at you, so the vehicle runs into your grenade, flipping and tossing the rider out with his shields down, a perfect target to kill.

  7. Step 7

Never stand still, it only makes you a bigger target and an easy kill.
