Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the stove to medium high heat and heat the pan.

    • 2

Peel and slice a piece of lemongrass while the pan is heating up. Using lemongrass will give the filling a lot more flavor.

    • 3

Add about 1 tbs. of oil to the pan once it's hot.

    • 4

Put 1/2 lb. of ground pork in the hot oil and cook it thoroughly. Add about 1/8 tsp. of crushed garlic before the pork is completely cooked. Although the parasite in pork that causes trichinosis is not very common anymore, it's important to cook pork properly to eliminate bacteria that tend to live on the surface of a cut of pork.

    • 5

Add any vegetables you want to use in your recipe, including the lemongrass, and stir-fry for about 3 or 4 more minutes.

Tips & Warnings

  • Defrost frozen pork in the refrigerator only.

  • Never cook pork partially and then refrigerate. You must cook it completely.

  • Always keep dishes, cutting boards and utensils used for raw pork separate. Never use them for other foods.
