Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fresh jalapeño peppers
  • Rectangular baking pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Large eggs
  • Mexican seasoning
  • Seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 small mixing bowl
  • Fork
  • Large spoon
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Line the bottom of a baking pan with aluminum foil.

  3. Step 3

Break the eggs into a small mixing bowl and whisk them lightly with a fork, just enough that the yolk and white are mixed.

  4. Step 4

Place the breadcrumbs in a larger mixing bowl, and add seasoning to the breadcrumbs according to your preferences. Stir the mixture until the ingredients are thoroughly blended.

  5. Step 5

Dip the prepared jalapeño peppers into the eggs, and then into the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat the process so that each jalapeño pepper is double dipped. Add an additional egg or more breadcrumbs, if necessary.

Tips & Warnings
  • Season the breadcrumbs any way you like. Good choices are cumin, onion salt, garlic salt, freshly ground black pepper or cilantro.
  • A bit of fresh lime zest stirred into the breadcrumbs adds a different and delicious flavor to stuffed jalapeño peppers.
