Step 1
Apply the base foundation color first. Translucent powder doesn't hide imperfections, so it's important to apply a base coat of mineral foundation to get your skin looking its best. The translucent powder dusting helps complete the look by giving you a matte finish that lasts throughout the day.

Step 2
Remember that a little goes a long way. One of the great things about mineral makeup is that it doesn't take a lot to make you look great. Tap a small amount of your mineral makeup about the size of a nickel into the cap, and dab a kabuki brush into the cap to coat it. Then gently tap the side of the brush to remove any excess before applying.

Step 3
Use a circular motion. With the kabuki brush, lightly dust your face with the translucent powder. This helps prevent shine and set the foundation so that it lasts longer. You won't need to reload the brush, and you should get quite a bit of use out of that one dab of powder.
