Things You'll Need:
- Sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer
- Sponge or brush
- Powder foundation and applicator
- Large clean makeup brush
-
Step 1
Clean your face and use a toner before applying makeup. Also, use a moisturizer unless you will be using a tinted moisturizer in Step 2. If you have oily skin, you may want to consider using an oil absorbing cream or gel.
-
Step 2
Choose a light foundation such as a sheer liquid foundation or a tinted moisturizer. If you have oily skin, make sure that your foundation isn't too heavy or contains oil. Apply this in a thin layer all over the face with a brush or a damp sponge to achieve that fresh dewy look. If you have areas that need some concealer, such as a blemish or a scar, use either a little extra foundation or a dab of concealer on it.
-
Step 3
Blend evenly so that you can't see where the foundation begins and ends. Your face should look natural, as if you have flawless skin.
-
Step 4
Dust a small amount of pressed or loose powder over your face. Be careful not to use too much, or it will appear cakey. In addition, stay away from the eye area, because powder will accentuate the creases and wrinkles around the eyes. Sweep a large clean makeup brush all over your face to remove excess powder.
