How to Select Wig Material
The fiber in your wig is incredibly important. Depending on the quality of the fiber, you can enhance your look or ruin it. Unfortunately, the cheaper the wig, the cheaper the wig materials are and the less natural your wig looks. But there are some things you can do to select the right wig material. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Find a wig material made from light fibers. The lighter the fiber is, the more natural your wig will look.
-
2
Consider purchasing wig material you can wash, curl and style with ease. Your wig will look more natural and you'll have more fun with it long term.

Think about purchasing wigs made from human hair. Human hair wigs come from humans, which makes the fibers look the most natural. Human hair wigs are more expensive than synthetic, but most people like them better. Virgin human hair is the highest quality and the most expensive. Virgin hair has never gone through processing or coloring.

Choose a cheaper (synthetic) wig material for costumes. Few people expect costumes to look perfect and you can have fun with a wig shaped or colored in ways human hair can't be (and probably shouldn't be). It's also hard to pay a lot for a wig used just for a costume.
