2. Pull your hair back, away from the face. Pin the front of your hair back,at the nape of the neck with bobby pins or glittery barrettes. This leaves you with long hair in the back, and for curly hair, it is one of many romantic yet elegant formal hairstyles.

3. Create an elegant and formal hairstyle by simply twisting your hair up in a bun. To do this, you simply twist the hair, and begin folding it into a coiled shape as you twist. When your hair is in a bun, secure it with bobby pins and hairspray for added hold.

4. Take the front section of your hair, about an inch or two at the hair line, and separate it from the rest of your hair. Tease the hair at the crown of your head to give it volume. Then, cover the teased hair with the sleek hair from the front, and pull it all back in an elegant ponytail for a formal evening look.
