Despite her former gig as a host on "Fashion Police," style gurus identify Kathy Griffin as one of Hollywood's worst offenders. Unphased by constant criticism, Griffin embraces her so-called "Life on the D-List." Often quirky and always the subject of countless blogs, Kathy's style reflects her controversial personality. To get Kathy Griffin's style, you must be true to yourself above all else.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Forget what others think. Kathy Griffin has built a successful career around her relatively low status and rejoices in her frequent appearances on various "worst dressed" lists. Griffin told "The New York Times" that she has no fashion regrets.

  2. Step 2

Shop the department stores. Kathy claims to buy her own clothes and insists that top designers refused to dress her for her red carpet coverage of the 2005 Golden Globes. Instead, she purchased a green dress by unknown designer Roland Nivelais, which promptly landed her in the "US Weekly" column entitled "Red Carpet Offenders."

  3. Step 3

Play with your hair. Kathy experiments with different colors and styles, adding a dimension of fun and surprise to her look. Whether sporting bright red or deep auburn hair, full of curls or going straight, Kathy's mane is one of her best features.

  4. Step 4

Splurge on shoes. Griffin wore pricey Stuart Weitzmans to the 2006 Emmy Awards. While the comedienne typically shies away from shoes that approach the $1000 range, she still has expensive tastes. For fancy, relatively affordable footwear, the comedienne shops at Patricia Field's store.

  5. Step 5

Buy some bling. Kathy dazzled in yellow diamonds at the 2005 Academy Awards and wore a stunning green beryl necklace and lovely aquamarine earrings to the 2006 Emmys. For more casual occasions, Kathy often adorns herself with astrological jewelry from Wandering Star Designs.
