When it comes to serving drinks at a party or restaurant, they can never come fast enough. Your patrons or party goers are thirsty and need to be refreshed. But if you constantly find yourself stuck behind the bar or by the keg pouring just one beer at a time, don't fret. Here's how to fill four beers at once.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Octopus keg tap
  • Keg of beer
  • 4 beer mugs

Step1
Purchase the Octopus Keg Tap from your local party supply store or restaurant equipment store. The Octopus Keg Tap has four taps springing from one central nozzle.
Step2
Tap your keg as you normally would. The great part about the Octopus Keg Tap is that it attaches the very same way. Simply tap the keg, make sure the tap is secure and you are ready to go.
Step3
Place your four beer glasses on a table next to the keg.
Step4
Grab two keg spouts in each hand. Place one between your ring finger and pinky finger and the other between your index finger and middle finger. Also you want to make sure each is slightly angled so that the beer will hit the side of the glass when pouring and reduce foam.
Step5
Press down on the spouts with your thumb to open them up. This is the part that takes a bit of dexterity. Simply flip your thumbs down on your respective hands on each spout to open it and let it start to pour.
Step6
Flick the spouts closed with your thumb once you have finished pouring your beers.
Step7
Serve the four beers you just poured at once. Not only will your party goers be impressed, but you'll have more time to mingle and enjoy the party.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you work at a restaurant, suggest that they buy a multiple tap head. This is the permanent version of the Octopus that rests above the bar. You'll be able to pour more drinks and make more money in tips.
  • Remember to always practice safe drinking and driving. Designate drivers or call cabs. It might cost you a little money that night, but it will save you a lifetime of sorrow should an accident occur.
