Disposable lenses have a lot going for them in that the short-sighted person no longer has to wear glasses. However, replacing the lenses after they expire gets expensive. There is one way to save yourself money by making your disposable contact lens last for a long time.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase six pairs of 30 day contact lenses. These are available online or through your optometrist.

  2. Step 2

Buy a bottle or more of contact cleansers. The no rub ones work the best when trying to make your disposable contact lenses last for a long time.

  3. Step 3

Find two contact cases that seal well. These are available also through your optometrist or through your local grocery or drug store.

  4. Step 4

Open the contacts that you've purchased, and put one set in one of the contact cases with the no-rub cleanser.

  5. Step 5

Wear the other set of contacts for the day. Place them in the other contact case at night, and add the no-rub contact cleanser.

  6. Step 6

Put the fresh set of disposable contacts in your eyes, and at night, put them in the same contact case with the no-rub cleanser. In this way you can make your disposable contact lenses last for a long time--from one to three years.
