Things You'll Need:
- Hypoallergenic sunscreen
- Mild facial care products
- Specialized products for redness
-
Step 1
Visit a dermatologist to make sure that some sort of skin condition isn't causing your red cheeks. If that is the case, your doctor can give you a medicine that will help.
-
Step 2
Use a hypoallergenic sunscreen lotion when venturing outside. Getting a sunburn, or even mild sun exposure could make the redness worse.
-
Step 3
Care for your face with mild cleansers and lotions. Look for products that say they are for sensitive skin. Ingredients such as soy, aloe and vitamin E can contribute to healthier skin.
-
Step 4
Look for products that say they are for decreasing redness or promoting uniform skin color. There are a few good quality ones available but can be hard to find. You may need to purchase them on the Internet if you wish to try them.
-
Step 5
Know that heat will dilate the vessels in your cheeks that make them red. Try to stay cool when possible. Keep a cold drink and a fan on hand, if you think there is a chance you could get overheated.
