Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check your moped's exhaust when you are trying to make your moped run faster. If it runs in a sluggish manner, the exhaust could have carbon residue restricting the flow.

Loosen the clamp that holds the muffler of your moped in place. Take off the exhaust pipe.

Remove the muffler from your moped and use a wire brush to clean out the residue from the inside the exhaust pipe. By cleaning out the exhaust pipe, thereby increasing the flow of air, you could find the power increases 10 mph. Shake the muffler, knocking out any residue.

  4. Step 4

Examine the lines of your moped, as well as the hoses, connections of your moped when you are working on making your moped run faster.

  5. Step 5

Try using different oil when working on making your moped run faster.

  6. Step 6

Clean out the carburetor of your moped when making it run faster. If that doesn't work, try checking your spark plugs and change them if needed.
