Step1
Purchase and use elegant or striking bedding. Invest in a soft and fluffy comforter, high quality sheets made of silk or cotton and a dust ruffle. Purchase bedding in the pattern or color scheme of your choosing. Wait for white sales at major department stores, or shop outlet malls to find some good deals on a bed in a bag.

Use throw pillows to decorate your bed and make it look spectacular. You can purchase throw pillows in many shapes including squares, rectangles, circles and bolsters. Look for throw pillows in a wide variety of colors and textures to compliment your look. Arrange the pillows neatly on your bed for the best effect.
Step3
Consider obtaining a new bed. If your bed appears old and worn, or if you are just ready for a new look in your bedroom, a new bed can work wonders. Look for beds made out of wood or metal. You can also add a headboard to an existing bed. Headboards made out of wood, metal or a quilted fabric can all make your bed look spectacular.
Step4
Make your bed every day. A bed won't look spectacular unless it appears neat and well kept. Tuck in the sheets around the bed on the sides and at the foot of the bed. Pull the comforter taut over the bed and center it over the sides of the bed. Arrange the pillows neatly at the head of the bed.
Step5
Keep your bed linens clean. Wash your sheets, pillowcases and comforter at least once every two weeks to keep them at their freshest.
