Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Healthy foods
- Facial care products
- Simple makeup
- New hairstyle
- Nice clothes
- Teeth whitener
Step1
Change your diet for the better. Eat plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Avoid foods filled with empty calories and saturated fats as well. Drink plenty of water each day. This will improve the way you feel as well as the health of your skin.
Step2
Develop a facial care routine, especially if you have facial blemishes. Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser and moisturizer both morning and night. Spot-treat pimples with a salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide pimple cream.
Step3
Exercise daily. Even if all you can squeeze in is a 10-minute brisk walk, you will soon start to feel your body shaping up and you will find that you have increased energy. In addition, even if you are at a normal weight for your height and age, you will still define your muscles, which will improve your appearance.
Step4
Take care of your hair. If your current hairstyle seems a bit drab, go to a hair salon and tell the stylist there that you need a new hairstyle that will flatter your face and body type as well as be easy to fix in the mornings.
Step5
Experiment with light makeup. Heavy makeup sometimes has a tendency to look fake or make it appear that you're trying too hard. Light foundation in the correct color, lip gloss and mascara will be plenty. Add some flattering eye shadow and a bit of eyeliner if you want to bring out your eyes a little more.
Step6
Go shopping for some new clothes. If you're unsure about what to buy, ask a friend to go with you and give advice. Only buy clothes in which you both look and feel great. They should flatter your figure, but without showing too much skin. Remember that you should choose your outfit to match the occasion. In other words, don't overdress if you are just going out for pizza with friends.
Step7
Keep your mouth clean and your teeth white. A bright smile looks good on anyone. You can get whitening products at almost any store that carries general merchandise, grocery store or drug store. If your teeth are very stained, ask your parents about visiting your dentist to get your teeth whitened.
