If you love magic, then you should teach yourself a few simple magic tricks. Not only will all of your friends be impressed, but it's a great way to break the ice or even earn extra money on the side. Here's one of the more popular magic tricks you can do with a deck of cards. You hold six together, while only touching one.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 playing cards
  1. Step 1

Place one card in front of you lying vertical to you.

  2. Step 2

Add a second card, lying horizontally on top of the first one. (It should now look like a card cross.)

  3. Step 3

Position two cards on top of the horizontal card so that they are in line with the vertical card. (At this point three cards will be resting vertically, one on the bottom and two on top. Only the second card is resting horizontally.)

  4. Step 4

Slide the next card under the middle card lying vertically and over the horizontal two. At this point, you have three cards lying vertically next to each other. This is tricky and takes a bit of dexterity.

  5. Step 5

Repeat the previous action on the other side of your cards. For your sixth and final card, slide it under the middle card lying vertically and over the two on the outer edge. If you get confused, simply look at the configuration of the cards from the last step.

  6. Step 6

Squeeze the cards together to make sure that they are secure. Now that you have the basic layout, push the cards together so that the corners are as well-fastened as humanly possible without an adhesive.

  7. Step 7

Lift the card using your fingers, on only the second card you laid down, to complete this magic trick.
