The Sims 2 Seasons is one of the best expansion packs for the Sims. New careers like Gamer, Musician and Adventurer become available. Different seasons affect the Sims' moods, skills and motivations. Seasons introduces a brand new Sim race, the Plant Sim. Sim family and friends have to be careful when outside their homes or in town. Frostbite, heat stroke and lightning can remove a Sim from the family tree. Here is how to get struck by lightning.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find every teen and older family member a job. Train them in required skills and meet new friends to advance their careers. Upgrade the lot and house to purchase a swimming pool.

  2. Step 2

Read newspaper and select "Read Forecast" when available. Watching the Weather Channel on your television will also provide a Sim with a weather forecast. The forecast is not always accurate. If it is a rainy day, let the Sim's characteristics decrease. This weakens the Sim.

  3. Step 3

Select the swimming pool during the rainstorm. Send the Sim for a swim. The Sim may die if he is weak enough before lightning strikes him.

  4. Step 4

Send the Sim to play in puddles if lightning did not strike him while he was in the swimming pool.

  5. Step 5

Bargain with the Grim Reaper if the Sim dies from the lightning strike. However, if bargaining fails, the departed Sim may haunt your pool.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have the Sims 2 Open for Business Expansion Pack, a Sim can also build and fly a kite in a thunderstorm. This is another way for lightning to strike your Sim.
  • Don't install the Seasons Patch if you want more Sims to die from lightning strikes.
