Many people consider summer their favorite time of year. The weather turns warm and people take time off from school and work. If you're a fan of summer, you can spend the months leading up to it preparing for the season.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Start exercising. In the summer, you wear less clothing due to the hotter temperatures. If you want your body summer-ready, participate in a regular workout routine. Spend at least 30 minutes three times or more a week performing aerobic exercises. Lift weights to get toned two to three times a week.
Step2
Eat better. If you want to keep your body looking nice for the summer, you should stop indulging in fatty or sweet foods. You should eat plenty of salads, fruits, veggies and lean proteins.
Step3
Work on your tan. Many people hate to hit the beaches or pools looking pale in their bathing suit. Get ready for summer by tanning beforehand. Apply a spray-on tan or make appointments to use the tanning beds at a local salon.
Step4
Buy some summer fashions. You'll find summer clothes available in most stores around April. Get ready for summer by purchasing tank tops, shorts and swimwear.
Step5
Plan your vacation. Prepare for summer by deciding how to spend your time off. If you want to go to the beach, look into booking a hotel or renting a house a few months before you depart.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want a summer job, you should plan ahead as well. Many seasonal employers start hiring for the summer in early spring.
  • Get ready for summer by getting your yard and house in order. Schedule a time for your pool to open, clean up the debris from your lawn, and do your planting for summer flowers.
